Miles Jacobson shared new information about Football Manager 2019 last night on his Twitter account. He confirmed work permits have been revamped in FM19.
Time for me to talk/tease a bit about some other new features not yet announced. Remember that I get the "hardcore" ones, with @footballmanager and the FM show having lots of other stuff to reveal in the coming weeks.— Miles Jacobson (@milesSI) October 2, 2018
Work permit revamp. #FM19
We will see new media and press conference questions regarding different work permit situations.
We also get backroom advice regarding work permits. Work permit issues are taken into account better with the transfer system and board confidence.
We can now offer to loan to specific nations, to help with pesky work permit issues (for those in UK leagues, pre-Brexit).
Players have the option to reject a move if a work permit is rejected; not just the manager/club. They also have the ability to reject a contract renewal if a work permit is rejected.
Managers have a choice on whether to renew a players contract or not, should a work permit be rejected. And we can have conversations to try and persuade a player to still join the team, should a work permit be rejected.
We can also have conversations when we want to loan list a player who doesn't have a work permit. We can see how long a player has to go until you can reapply for a work permit on a players profile. And we will get a message from our staff telling us when we can reapply.
